1. Jaffna: A Cultural Rebirth
Long overlooked, the northern tip of the island offers a completely different vibe. The vibrant Hindu temples, the iconic Jaffna Library, and the delicious, spicy crab curry make it a must-visit for cultural enthusiasts.
2. Knuckles Mountain Range
For the serious hiker, the Knuckles Range offers trekking trails that lead through cloud forests and hidden waterfalls. It is a biodiversity hotspot where you can truly disconnect from the digital world.
3. Riverston & Pitawala Pathana
Often called the “World’s End” of the Matale district, Riverston offers breathtaking views and windy cliffs. The sheer drop at Pitawala Pathana is a sight you won’t soon forget.

If you love wildlife and history, Mannar is home to ancient Baobab trees (brought by Arab traders centuries ago) and hundreds of flamingos that migrate here during the winter months.
